Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) develops and disposes of public housing and authority land across Tamil Nadu. Its official notifications offer homes for sale and can also offer commercial, institutional and utility property. Its Online Sale 2026–2027 sells homes and plots at fixed selling prices: Notification No. 01/2026 offers 2,842 plots, flats and individual houses in 32 schemes across Tamil Nadu by online lottery, and Notification No. 02/2026 offers 143 flats and individual houses in Chennai, Hosur and Kanchipuram by online lottery and 627 Chennai flats first come, first serve. The current Villupuram Housing Unit notice covers 17 sites in Villupuram and Cuddalore districts; the Besant Nagar Division notice covers 13 Chennai sites, including 2 residential plots; Coimbatore Housing Unit lists 95 sites in Coimbatore and Tiruppur; Tirunelveli Housing Unit lists 55 non-residential lots; Vellore Housing Unit lists 68 non-residential sites across five districts; and Hosur Housing Unit lists 42 commercial, institutional and other sites in Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts.

The six site notices use an electronic tender or application stage to qualify bidders before a later live e-auction. The September extensions move Villupuram, Besant Nagar, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Vellore applications into October without publishing revised live-auction dates. The earlier Besant Nagar and Vellore September auction dates are no longer the current timetable. Villupuram also publishes tender-submission and technical-opening milestones without a later live-auction date; tender opening is not live bidding. Vellore’s signed extension says 8 October at 11:00 AM IST, while 15 portal records say 10 October: this is an unresolved source conflict requiring confirmation from Vellore Housing Unit. Hosur’s notice tentatively starts its later e-auction on 5 Oct 2026 at 2:00 PM IST after evaluation, while its notice and portal disagree about tender opening and the tender-wide EMD total. The Online Sale is not an auction: the 2,842-unit lottery closes scheme by scheme between 4 and 11 Oct 2026 at 11:29 PM IST after TNHB’s 15-day extension; the 143-home lottery takes applications from 28 Sep 2026, 10:00 AM to 27 Oct 2026, 11:29 PM IST; TNHB announces each draw date later; and first come, first serve booking runs from 28 Sep 2026, 10:00 AM IST until 31 Mar 2027 or until every flat is sold.

TNHB’s notification page publishes each notice’s inventory and terms, while tender submission, the 15% application amount and live bidding use the official TN Tenders portal. Under Tenders by Organisation → Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Villupuram and Vellore use separate lot-level Tender IDs keyed by VPM and VR codes; representative Vellore record 2026_TNHB_697324_1 is Kanchipuram Phase II C1. Use Tender ID 2026_TNHB_697560_1 for Besant Nagar, 2026_TNHB_697438_1 for Coimbatore, 2026_TNHB_696945_1 for Tirunelveli, and 2026_TNHB_698316_1 (HR1/966/2026) for Hosur. Confirm Hosur’s selected-site payment with TNHB: the notice’s row totals do not match the portal EMD total. The Online Sale uses TNHB’s own Property Sales portal, not TN Tenders.
